In conjunction with the 15th Convocation Ceremony of the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB, an Academic Excellence Aspiration Ceremony was held. It was held at a restaurant in the capital, 16th October night.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. The ceremony included the presentation of Awards and Academic Prizes as well as the presentation of certificates to sponsors and contributors. Also held was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between KUPU SB and eight agencies as well as local and overseas higher learning institutions. The ceremony ran concurrently with the receiving of the 15th KUPU SB Convocation Graduates' Tarbiyah Endowment.
